MD on Call App Reviews

Quite basic

A little disappointing for the price. The info is pretty basic and the catagories are limited. Way to $$$ for what you get.

Needs improve

Usefull app, but it need to improve some information and expand more clonical high yields and topics. It is expensive for its content.

Resident

Weak. Spend the six bucks elsewhere. Limited info. a waste of money until it improves. Worth about 99 cents

WASTE OF MONEY

what a ripoff!! I want my money back..should have listened to the other reviewers..This app should not be more than FREE.

Needs work

The interface is a little rough and could certainly use some refinement. More troubling is that many recommendations are not adequately referenced to practice standard guidelines, and some references are rather obscure. Some data is just plain wrong, for instance the conversion from TDF 25 mcg/hr to po morphine is stated to be 100 mg/day (no reference is listed for this conversion)...all my resources say 50 mg/day. Hmmm...

Awesome

Good for me to prep for rush medical school!!!

Helpfully for writing orders

Helpful eliciting walking thoughts in your way to the ED. Nice guide for writing orders.

DO

Not bad, real basic, but too the point and really helpful if you happen too need it. Worth a few bucks.

Decent

It is a nice little program. It could use some more information with supporting references and a more streamlined interface. Over all it is a worthwhile program.

Nice

Very helpful for the frantic med student needing a quick answer.

Great app...almost there

The only thing missing from this app in my opinion is an "edit" function which is why I gave it a 4. I would like to be able to edit/modify the existing vignettes AND add my own vignettes. The developer is a busy resident, but responded to an email from me stating this was in the future...but they "want to do it right." I use this app regularly and would highly recommend it to med students, residents, or physicians (once the edit feature is present).

Excellent

Really helps late at night on call when youre not at your best

Md

It Is an excellent tool for the busy clinician and med students. The only deficit is it is lacking a lot of clinical scenarios, so I think it will be good if it can be adjusted to actual practice

Definitely a must-have app!

This app is perfect for crosscover, wards or anytime you need a quick answer! Love it!!!

A must have!!!

THE resource to go to for quick reference on practical hands on issues that come up while on call. I used this app often as an intern and occasionally now as a resident.

Amazing Book

Valuable, easily accessable and rich in term of treatment options for most of the oncall emergencies. Strongly recomend it for residents and interns.

Great app.

This app served me well during this long intern year. Great for cross cover.

Wrong advice

Metaclopramide is a prokinetic and contraindicated in sbo. This was listed in the N/V section and incorrect.

Average

A good amount of info and the ekg section is helpful but overall not enough depth to be worth the price.

Very Basic

This app is very basic, below the level of an EMTP; certainly not adequate for a medical student.
